Welcome!

This is the web page of our laboratory, a.k.a. Cancer Genomics and Bioinformatics. The lab was established in 2019 @ the Italian Institute for Genomic Medicine (IIGM), located within the Candiolo Cancer Institute FPO IRCCS (IT) and at the Biosciences Department of the University of Milan "La Statale".

What do we do?

The lab follows three main directions

RNA processing

Deciphering RNA processing in disease

Cancer evolution

Assessing tumor genetics and evolution to faster precision oncology

Data Science

Designing novel algorithms to gain information from genomic Big Data

The future is unwritten

The C.G.B. highlights

EMBO

Great feedback for our EMBO workshopThe Spatial Biology of Cancer @ The Francis Crick Institute London!

We spent three days catching up on the spatial biology of cancer with top-notch scientists, early and late career ones. We learnt a lot about spatial omics, generative AI, and modern pathology. Great feeback from all partecipants. It was really a blast! Thanks to the best co-organizer Prof Francesca Ciccarelli and Prof Maria Secrier @ the Francis Crick Institute in London!

Finally our KRAS story is out on Nature Comm!

Really grateful to be part of this exciting and collaborative research on KRAS G12 adaptive resistance and therapy. Kudoz goes to Prof. Chiara Ambrogio and Prof. David Santamaria

airc_bridge

AIRC keeps funding our research!

The Italian Association for Cancer Research, aka AIRC fundation, will support our studies on RNA processing in pediatric and adult cancers through the BRIDGE funding scheme! A big thanks to AIRC and all the people whose generosity supports the fundation.

Funding Agencies

All our research efforts are possible thanks to the support of the following agencies:
